I’m Sun — a photographer drawn to light, texture, and the quiet details that tell a story.

Born and raised in China, I carry the sensibilities of an Eastern upbringing and the curiosity of a traveler. My journey began in New York, working in editorial and food photography for menus, magazines, and brand campaigns.

Life then brought me to Washington, where I worked in restaurants, wineries, and other service industries — learning the rhythm of hospitality and the art of presentation.

Later, my time at USPS and as a school photographer opened a new window into everyday lives. From early mornings on the road to capturing children’s first-day smiles, I learned to notice the fleeting expressions, the small rituals, and the human moments that often go unseen.

Today, I bring all of that into my work at sundoremi.com — blending technical skill with a cross-cultural storyteller’s eye, creating images that feel lived-in, warm, and true.
